This project is approved for funding in the competition announced by the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) working in collaboration with the U.S. National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

This project is a part of the Long-term program to support Ukrainian research teams at the Polish Academy of Sciences carried out in collaboration with the U.S. National Academy of Sciences with the support of external partners. /2023-2026/

Area of research

Study of the war media trauma during chronic traumatic stress for prevention of mental health problems in risk groups (combatant families, refugees and poverty in different communities) to reduce the burden of mental illness for individuals and for society and for the economy in Ukraine and Poland. Development of media psychoeducation policy recommendations based on evidence from psychological research in laboratories and in communities with mixed methodology.

Representing war images in the media is needed, because we need information, but has an effect of media traumatising. It is necessary to study the component and mechanics of media trauma in media during war continuing traumatic and post-traumatic stress.

We will tell, what we plan to do in the project.

Welcome to participate at meeting and develop a collaboration network!
