Social processes in Autism and Schizophrenia

7 listopada 2024

Schizophrenia and autism are both highly heterogeneous conditions, yet they share common difficulties in real-life social interactions. The severity of social cognition deficits is comparable across both conditions, and simple tasks often fail to differentiate between them. This presentation will cover findings from a larger project focused on social processes using the RDoC framework. Specifically, it will discuss two tasks: the regulation of interpersonal distance and unstructured social interactions. The focus will be on bio-behavioral mechanisms, including psychophysiology, neuroendocrine regulation, and facial expressions.
